A Bright Dose

“Crikey mate” I hear you scream….yes! Yellow is all-too-often avoided, but settle for a challenge and let me talk you through it while I can. From Gucci’s own take on leather grunge alongside Etro’s garnish prints and other designers in 2012, I thought its about time we bring back some of those 90’s vibes that were channelled then and lets be honest, who are we kidding... as soon as the sun peaks in London its really time to get the brights and pastels out and subsequently those pasty arms and legs due some sun and airing aswell!

So without slipping too much into the 90’s influence, something I dare say I’m not fully in the mood for just yet,  this example definitely injects the bright, the bold and the beautiful to an otherwise prevalent humdrum backdrop for London at this time of year ("or any other for that matter”) without being too crazy.

With the inclusion of an audacious colour like yellow on the overcoat, a perennial favourite of mine, its no surprise that in order to not swallow the rest of the outfit, I paired some tailored and cropped black trousers alongside a pair of distressed Feud loafers that compliment to perfection and help break the marvel and rest the eyes working the way down.  But theres no skimping when it comes down to details, a daring leopard print in a subtle shade not a far cry from the coats to anchor the look works great.

Overcoat - Common People
Shirt - Ralph Lauren
Trousers - Hugo Boss
Watch - Mondaine
Shoes - Feud
Sunglasses - Rayban
